Compare · FileEazy vs DocuSign

A DocuSign alternative with document management built in

FileEazy is an AI document management platform with legally binding e-signatures built in. Where DocuSign plans are priced per user with an envelope allowance of 100 per user per year, FileEazy charges one price per account with users included and no per-envelope fees, and that price covers document storage, no-code approval workflows, OCR and AI search — from $39 a month for 3 users, with a free trial on every plan.

What the sending allowances mean for a team

DocuSign Standard costs $30 per user per month and gives each user 100 envelopes a year, so a team of 25 pays $750 a month for 2,500 envelopes a year. FileEazy Business costs $349 a month for the whole account with 25 users included, and gives the workspace 300 signature requests a month — 3,600 a year — shared by everyone, together with document management, workflows and AI search.

So for a team of up to 36 users, FileEazy Business includes more sending than DocuSign Standard, plus certificate-based signing. Larger teams can add e-signature packs, or move to FileEazy Premium: 50 users and 1,000 signature requests a month for $599. DocuSign Business Pro is $45 per user with 100 envelopes per user per year.

Why teams choose FileEazy over DocuSign

One platform instead of two

Signed agreements land straight in your document repository with their audit trail — no exporting from one tool and filing in another.

No per-envelope fees

Signature requests are included in your plan allowance, (1,000 on Premium) — no metered charge per envelope.

Approvals before the signature

Route a contract through legal and finance approval, then out for signature, in one no-code workflow.

Higher-assurance signing

Class II / III certificates, USB tokens, PAdES and long-term validation for regulated documents.

Cloud or on-premise

Keep documents in FileEazy's cloud or on your own servers when policy requires it.

Free view-only users

Staff who only submit forms or view documents can be view-only users without a paid licence.

When DocuSign may be the better fit

A fair comparison should say when the other option is the right one. It may be if:

  • You only need e-signatures and already have a document management system you are happy with.
  • You rely on a specific DocuSign integration or partner app in your existing stack.
  • A large team sends relatively few envelopes each and would not use document management or workflows.

Frequently asked questions

Is FileEazy a good DocuSign alternative?

Yes, if you want e-signatures and document management in one place. FileEazy covers preparing, sending, signing and certifying documents, and also stores, versions, searches and routes them through approval workflows. If you only need signing and already have a document system, DocuSign may be enough on its own.

Does FileEazy charge per envelope?

No. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of signature requests shared across the workspace — 25 on Starter, 100 on Standard, 300 on Business and 1,000 on Premium. There is no per-envelope charge; if you need more, you move to a higher plan.

Are FileEazy e-signatures legally binding?

FileEazy records signer identity, method, IP address, device and timestamp for every signature, seals the document with a tamper-evident certificate and supports PAdES signatures with RFC 3161 timestamps. Requirements differ by country and document type, so confirm what your documents need with your legal adviser.

Can I move my DocuSign templates and signed documents to FileEazy?

Signed PDFs and their certificates can be uploaded into FileEazy and indexed with OCR so they are searchable. Templates are recreated as reusable FileEazy templates. Contact us if you would like help planning the move.
